My favourite product or topic to train is… Microsoft 365

What I enjoy most about helping clients learn is… tailoring the learning to individual needs so adults can build understanding at their own pace and apply it straight away.

One of the biggest challenges for learning in 2026 is…Overcoming constantly evolving product features and information overload so learners can focus on what genuinely improves their day-to-day work. 

When I’m not training with CTO I’m…Accept hands on development of custom Access, Excel and Microsoft Office productivity systems.

My greatest professional achievement is…delivering effective and useful IT and Microsoft 365 skills and training for staff across University, TAFE and local government organisations, corporates and individuals over more than three decades. 

When it comes to caffeine…  I’m a recent coffee recruit. Tea has been my previous mainstay.

I try to relax by… Honing my skills in Photography. I also teach in that area.

I don’t understand why… People go it alone down endless rabbit holes in desktop IT productivity when training by coaches who have already done the “hard yards” is available.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Brazil 

For anyone needing to upskill in my area of expertise this year, one piece of advice I’d give would be…

…to get a “Big Picture” of the area of study. To do this:

  • Use blended learning
  • Use a human coach for insights, experience and wisdom
  • Collect technical details (curate for currency)
  • Use AI to structure and summarise the detail
  • Curate for critical thinking, sanity checks, practicality and relevance
